My Response to Dr. Robert Jeffress on Trump and North Korea

This is a message to pro-war pastors like Robert Jeffress thinking God has given Trump authority to take out North Korea’s Kim Jong Un:

Robert Bowman, a Catholic Bishop, said the following:

“We are not hated because we practice democracy, value freedom, or uphold human rights. We are hated because our government denies these things to people in Third World countries whose resources are coveted by our multinational corporations. That hatred we have sown has come back to haunt us in the form of terrorism…Instead of sending our sons and daughters around the world to kill Arabs so we can have the oil under their sand, we should send them to rebuild their infrastructure, supply clean water, and feed starving children…

In short, we should do good instead of evil. Who would try to stop us? Who would hate us? Who would want to bomb us? That is the truth the American people need to hear.”

The Unbiased Truth Regarding the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict

When it comes to conflicts like this, we need to analyze both sides with statistical data. I will provide this evidence on a later edit, so stay tuned.

For now, I want to reflect on the unnecessarily endless violence and oppression between Israel and Palestine. As statistical data has demonstrated, Israel is held responsible for committing this same violence and oppression I am referring to. Let us critique this conflict logically by bringing up the facts:

Israel, compared with Palestine’s poor state it is in now, is receiving a great deal of financial support from the United States. Military aid like weapons are provided to the Israeli government, and those same weapons are used to injure, kill, control and oppress the Palestinian people. As evidence suggests, the United States provides no money whatsoever to Palestine. Nothing.

So, ask yourselves…which side is really capable of power, control, oppression and violence? The poor Palestinians…or the rich Israeli government? Are the Christian fundamentalists in the United States going to side with Israel because they are Jews? The fact of the matter is that the United States citizens are commonly exposed to limited points of view from corporate media like CNN and Fox News. There’s a great deal of false narrative propaganda and lies, and most of this is generally limited to two points of views. The Republican side and Democratic side, but the end result is generally in line with the elite’s interests.

Part of my strategy is to follow the money. Most of the time, this aids me in finding the injustice. In the life of Jesus, he does not think kindly about the rich in comparison to the poor. Christians are supposed to be champions of the poor, yet here we are in the United States, massive Church members are supporting the powerful Israeli government thanks to the financial support of the United States.

Over time, as the statistics suggest, Palestinians are losing their land. In the past, we have witnessed the Israeli government taking Palestinian land by force. Imagine, a Palestinian family is stripped of the land they own (with evidence in print that they rightfully own this land). Is this justice? How can the United States and Israeli government just sit there and think this is okay? This is not only a violation of international law, but the rest of the world seem to be championing the Palestinians (or the oppressed). Imagine that! The rest of the world seems to recognize what’s really going on, while our media is constantly fabricating stories on this conflict to make things sound like Israel is the oppressed.

Common defense of Israel is the government’s ability to defend itself from terrorism. Now, this is a biased statement. Terrorist acts were also committed in Israel by astronomically larger numbers, as the statistics support. So, the United States has no right to completely dismiss the mass violence committed by the Israelites. Besides, the Israeli government is stealing land from Palestine. What right do they have to defend themselves for invading land that doesn’t belong to them in the first place? They do not have proof of land ownership like the Palestinians. The Holy Bible’s mythical stories are not going to cut it. This is far more complicated than that. Historically, it would make sense that the ancestors of Palestine were Jews. Naturally, some converted to Islam or populated the religious faith after it was introduced to the Middle East.

Part of the problem with the most ignorant members of the Christian Church mass in the United States siding with the Israelites is they think this is a Jews versus Muslims conflict. No. Palestinians consist of Christians and Muslims. Mostly Arabic Christians and Muslims. I am not surprised if a lot of them are also Jews. The United States breeds a culture of ignorance and anti-intellectualism through simplified narratives of good versus evil. The bad guys are always the Muslim Palestinians, while the good guys are the Jewish Israelites. And when the corporate media mention the term Muslims, ignorant Americans automatically swallow the next part of the narrative when terrorism is referenced alongside with the Palestinians.

Let me repeat how important and disturbing those statistics are given all that I have been told by my country’s corporate media. Israel is just as guilty for killing innocent civilians compared with Palestine. Let us not forget that the Israeli government hires civilians to kill the Palestinian people. This is a reference to Steven Spielberg’s Munich.

Stay tuned as I explore further of not only include factual statistical data, but to also reference factual articles that inform the public of the truth. Also, the Palestinian film Paradise Now will be used to explore this reality further in cinematic language.
